Attendees of the event will have an opportunity to convene with fellow I-O professionals and representatives from many DC area agencies and companies to gain valuable insights into the latest research, innovations, and employment opportunities. The 2017 Fall Event featured 22 industry-leading sponsor organizations and agencies.


SPEAKER BIOS:

Liberty Munson, Ph.D. is the Principal Psychometrician for Microsoft’s Worldwide Learning organization. She is considered a thought leader in the certification industry, especially in areas related to how technology can fundamentally change our approach to assessment design, development, delivery, and sustainment, and has proposed many innovative ideas related to the future of certification that involve creating “your own” certification, leveraging the power of machine learning and artificial intelligence, and designing “in experience” evaluations that completely remove the need for traditional assessments as we think about them today. Liberty earned her PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology with minors in Quantitative Psychology and HR Management from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

David Dorsey, Ph.D. is a Vice President at the Human Resources Research Organization (HumRRO). Dave has over 20 years of experience as a human capital consultant, researcher, and senior leader. He was previously a senior executive in the U.S. government, where among other roles he served as a directorate level Senior Data Scientist. Dave has conducted innovative research and development in the areas of understanding adaptive performance, innovating performance management, using modeling and simulation technologies for learning, understanding career paths, and building corporate level data science platforms and communities. He is the recipient of two major research awards and an award for being a top leader in government. Dave is a Fellow in SIOP (Division 14 of the APA).

Seymour Adler, Ph.D. is a Partner in the Performance, Reward, and Talent practice at Aon, where he directs the development and implementation of leadership development, talent assessment, succession, and talent management programs for organizations across a variety of industries.  Seymour was a founder and principal of Assessment Solutions Incorporated, a firm he helped take public in 1997, which was acquired by Aon in 2001.  Seymour holds a Ph.D. in in I-O Psychology from New York University.  Seymour is a Fellow of the SIOP and the APA, and has served as President of the Metropolitan New York Association of Applied Psychology.
